Bumrah had been in outstanding form over the first 3 games of the series taking 17 wickets at a avg. of 13.64. He was replaced by Bengal seamer Akash Deep in India’s XI for the 4th Test in Ranchi. India also have Mohammed Siraj and Mukesh Kumar available in their squad to pick for a 5th Test match that is expected to favour seam bowlers.

KL Rahul Ruled Out Of 5th Test Against England

India batter KL Rahul has been ruled out of the 5th and final Test of the 5 match series against England in Dharamsala, BCCI announced on Thursday via social media handle X. Rahul is currently recovering from the an injury and the BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring him and co-ordinating with specialists medical team in London for further management of his issue. BCCI also informed that star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who earlier released from the squad, will be rejoining the team in Dharamsala for the 5th and final Test match.

The BCCI also stated that star pacer Mohammed Shami who underwent a surgery in London will soon head to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to commence his rehabilitation process to get speedy recovery.

Washington Sunder released from 5th Test Against England

Washington Sundar has been released from the squad. He will join Tamil Nadu his Ranji Trophy side  for their Ranji Trophy Semi final fixture against Mumbai that will starting from March 2nd, 2024. He will join the India squad after the completion of the domestic fixture for the 5th Test if needed then stated further.
