The Indian pacer who was part of the last concluded 3rd test match in Rajkot, Jasprit Bumrah may allowed to be rested for 4th Test in Ranchi to the upcoming test match that will scheduled to happen in Ranchi. Whether he will play the 5th & final Test in Dharamsala is a decision for later and could depend on the outcome of the 4th Test starting on Friday, February 23.
The Indian team already flew out of Rajkot on Tuesday (February 20) and Bumrah is unlikely to travel with the team. He will probably drive down to Ahmedabad 4 hour’s drive from Rajkot on Monday itself to spend some quality time with his loved ones and family members. There is no confirmed information of any other player skipping the next Test yet.

India also has the services of another Bengal seamer Akash Deep available having given the 27-year-old his maiden call-up to the squad ahead of the Rajkot test.
It is understood the team management and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are waiting on the fitness update of K.L. Rahul for an upcoming remaining test. The Karnataka stylish batsman was to join the squad in Rajkot by Saturday with team members but has not reached here from NCA Bengaluru. It is not clear if he has regained full fitness yet. Before 3rd test sources from BCCI had said that Rahul was still only 90 percent fit.
R Ashwin is traveling with the team to Ranchi Test for 4th match. The ace spinner had to temporarily leave in between the 3rd test of the Rajkot match to attend to his ailing mother in Chennai and rejoined the team members in the Rajkot test 4th innings he bowl also in that innings and took a wicket. The BCCI had chartered a flight for him for his sudden Chennai visit for medical emergency and timely return.
